We had just reached the Cornwall town borders, when we saw a road sign for Gnome World. You see a sign for Gnome World and you must pull off the road. It's road trip 101.
We drove up to what looked like a motel/RV park and saw a few gnomes scattered around. Expecting more, I hopped out of the car and ran to the reception desk to inquire.
It's with a heavy heart that I must report that like the Camelot Theme Park, Gnome World is now defunct. The man who handcrafted all of the gnomes is no longer able to do it, so as the gnomes get damaged or broken, they are no longer being repaired or replaced. Some of the gnomes are still there, but despite the road signs, this is no longer a tourist destination.
I think Travelocity should sponsor Gnome World and get it back in shape!
