I was disappointed that my second Rocksbox didn't arrive in time for my anniversary weekend in Las Vegas. It would have been fun to test-drive the jewelry on our trip. However, the Rocksbox package was waiting in my mailbox when we returned on Tuesday. It seems that the turn-around to receive a new box is 5-7 days.
I cheated, and looked at the Rocksbox website to see what was coming in box #2. It's like waiting to open Christmas presents; I can't handle the anticipation.
First up, are the Olivia & Grace Lorena Earrings in Blue Quartz.
I added these to my wish list in hopes that they would be a good match for this Joie sundress, that I bought for our cruise last summer. Here is a professional picture of the dress.
The earrings were very pretty, but the color isn't as vibrant in person. They were underwhelming when paired with the dress. I will have to stick with pairing my white studs with this dress.
The Perry Street Allison Necklace was not something that I would normally pick. In fact, I really disliked it, when I saw the picture online.
In person, the stone was too large/fake looking, and I still wasn't sure if it looked right when paired with the metal. However, when I put it on, it looked good. It dressed up my tee-shirt. Ultimately, this necklace was not a good fit for me, but it made me think about adding some longer necklaces to my collection. I like the length.
Lately, I've really been into adding rings to my collection. When I returned my first box, I specifically requested rings as a high priority item. Although not on my wish list, I did request similar items to this Sophie Harper Pave Z Ring in Gold.
The ring such an unusual shape. It's not rose gold as it appears in these pictures and it's far more sparkly in person. I didn't want to take it off. It was a keeper.
Keeping it is easy. I just went to the website, officially bought it, and my account on file was charged. In addition to the discount listed on the info insert, I also had ten dollars to apply towards the purchase. At the beginning of every month, each Rocksbox account is credited with ten dollars of spending cash to apply towards a jewelry purchase. It expires at the end of the month. Use it or lose it.
I mailed back my second box on Wednesday morning and I'm eagerly awaiting news of the third box, which will hopefully ship this afternoon.
