Rocksbox- Box Seven

I'm conflicted. On one hand, I'm still excited to receive my Rocksbox shipments. Unwrapping the box is like getting a birthday present, and I love the element of surprise with the selections. It's definitely more exciting than getting bills in the mail! On the other hand, the pieces have mostly been duds.

It seems that either the items that I put on my wish list look different from their pictures or, I'm being sent random pieces that are really different from those that I've requested. I like the opportunity to try new things, but I had thought that by Box Seven (twenty-one pieces of jewelry later) that the stylists would have a better idea of my tastes. Perhaps their inventory just isn't very "me"?

Box Seven

Box Seven arrived a few hours before we were heading off to a holiday party. I ended up wearing the Gorjana Alma Cuff to the party.

The cuff is a pretty, very simple piece. It would be versatile for day/night wear. I have thin wrists, so I liked that it was bendy and adjustable. It didn't slide around.  I liked it, but it looked like several bracelets that I already own, so it wasn't a keeper.

The Gorjana Cameron Fringe Earrings were a pick from my wish list.

I liked the style, but not the length. They were a touch too long.

I love statement necklaces and I specifically requested that a statement necklace be included in Box Seven. The Perry Street Eve Necklace was NOT on my wish list.

Hands down, this is the ugliest piece of jewelry that Rocksbox has sent. The only thing that I liked about it was the teal color of the stones. Teal is one of my go-to colors. Everything else was awful; the thick chain, huge cluster of stones. Here is a closer look-

I immediately hated it and knew that it was going back, but to give it a solid review, here is a picture of it on. The chain was short and it is shown at it longest length.

I asked for another statement necklace to be sent in Box Eight. Here's to hoping that it's more flattering. I really want to find pieces to add to my permanent collection, but so far, I've only purchased one piece. C'mon Rocksbox, make me want to spend!
