I'm a product whore.

All of the shelves and drawers in my bathroom are over-flowing with beauty products. It's such an addiction, that I have boxes of products stashed under my bed and hidden in my linen closet.

I blame my aunt.

Growing up, my mom rarely wore make-up and didn't use special skin products. My aunt was glamorous. I'd kill for those boots!

She believed in having a proper skin care routine, platinum blonde hair and the eternal quest for new lipstick shades. She saw my mom's failure to teach me in the ways of beauty products and my aunt took charge. My aunt took me for my first facial and bought me my first foundation. She also took me to her hair stylist before I started kindergarten. Unfortunately, this was the early 80's and the Dorothy Hamill cut was popular.

I was a little grumpy towards Dorothy Hamill and her damn hair. 

Luckily, I survived my childhood hair trauma to have gorgeous locks. I have a fabulous hair stylist, Vanessa Bastian, who works out of the Carnelian Salon in Pasadena. I've been Vanessa's client for nearly ten years and she never fails to make me feel beautiful.

This week, Vanessa asked me to be her hair model for her job interview to be an educator for Joico. Honestly, I had never heard of Joico prior to Vanessa using their products to color my hair. I've since learned that Joico has been around for many years and is a major brand. It slipped my radar. She's been using Joico on my hair for the past year and I've noticed that my color lasts longer and is more vibrant. The color pops.

As part of the glamorous life of a hair model, Vanessa spent last Tuesday making sure that my hair was freshly colored and looking perfect. The color turned out amazing, but it's the new Joico product, Hair Shake, that blew me away.

My hair is straight with fine strands that typically go limp. Holding a curl takes a lot of patience and hairspray. Vanessa used Joico Hair Shake and boom, I had instant big hair.

Instant volume and it lasted the entire day. A miracle! When I first met Dan, he said that he liked "Big American Hair"...his wish was granted. 

Vanessa had her interview today and she nailed it! 

I was so excited about Hair Shake that I mentioned it during her interview. Zane, at Joico in Arcadia, told us that the product launch was today, May 1st and that the Hair Shake was already sold-out and back ordered. This is a huge deal! After telling Vanessa that she got the job, he ducked out and brought back a gift bag of Joico products for me. 

I was given K-PAK- Shampoo, conditioner and an intense hydrator....plus a bottle of the very coveted Hair Shake. Thrilled does not begin to describe it. 

I'm never having flat hair again!

 Besides the present from Zane, Vanessa also gave me a Joico product gift bag for helping her out. Product heaven. Thank You Vanessa and Zane for the fun new toys.

If you can get your hands on some Hair Shake, buy every bottle. This is the best hair product that I've ever experienced. Love, Love, Love it!
