I've never been good at keeping a journal. I would always resolve to stick with it and would for a short burst, maybe even a few months, but then I would find months, years had flown by without an entry. I've learned to not make keeping a journal a New Years Resolution. My last and only other attempt at keeping a blog, ended about four years ago. The last entries were written after my mom passed away from cancer and while I was in the middle of a divorce. I thought that it would be best to leave that blog dead and to move forward. I am sure that I will write about death and divorce, but now from a more reflective approach, rather than in the middle of grief.
My main objective is to get back into the habit of writing. I have several stories that desperately need to be edited and others that need to get out of my head. I am hoping that a blog will get me into the daily habit of writing and get me out of a major slump. It also gives me a place to record my adventures (there are many), be opinionated and write about my cats. My cats and Rhett Miller.
Here's to seeing if I can make this last.
