When I originally started this Rocksbox jewelry subscription experiment, I anticipated giving it a ten box run. Then, box ten was delayed in the post and the awesome Rocksbox customer service went ahead and sent out box eleven. Ending on eleven feels funny, unbalanced. I've decided to keep it in increments of five and see where I am at box fifteen. Plus, I still get excited to get those little boxes with pink ribbons. It's like a birthday party in the mail!
Speaking of Rocksbox customer service; I'm so impressed. They respond within twelve hours ( even on a Sunday) or less, and every time the response has left me feeling like my business is appreciated. This morning, I got an unexpected email regarding the pair of merlot studs that I reviewed in box ten. They saw the flaw in the stone and as compensation, threw an extra ten dollars of "forever spend" into my account. They also asked if I had been interested in purchasing the earrings, and if so, they had a flawless pair that they would send to me. I appreciate the initiative that the Rocksbox customer service department has taken to make sure that I'm a happy customer.
Let's check out box eleven.
Green and gold were the themes of box eleven. Green is my favorite color. I'm drawn toward green clothes and accessories, so much so, that I need to tell myself that I have enough. With this in mind, I took a careful look at box eleven, assessing whether or not I really needed these pieces in my collection.
The Ashiana London Charlie Druzy Pendant Necklace in Green, makes a bold statement.
I liked the sparkle of the stone. The rough, natural looking cut of the stone, make me think of the store, Natural Wonders. Remember that place? I think they closed sometime in the 90's, but as a kid, I used to love their rock/mineral collections.
I paired the necklace with a black Parker Pima Top, that I rented from my other obsession, Rent the Runway. The color popped against the black blouse.
It's a fun statement piece, but I didn't need another green necklace.
The Gorjana Elea Cuff is delicate and pretty. A perfect day to night piece.
I really loved the bracelet, but at $108.00, I couldn't justify the price. I have my eye on a few other non-jewelry things that I'd rather put the money towards. For example, this Kate Spade Blaze a Trail Clutch, that I recently borrowed from Rent the Runway. I NEED IT!!!!
Isn't it adorable? I have a fox obsession. Yes, I know that they aren't green.
Speaking of green, we have the Olivia & Grace Carolyn Earrings in Green Chalcedony.
I liked the style, length, and of course, color.
And they look very similar to several earrings that I already own. I wrote to Rocksbox and told them that I love green, a little too much, and I issued them a challenge to fill my next box with bright, vivid jewelry in a different color. Let's see how they do with box twelve.
